Agriculture Waste Management and Handling
Whether building or expanding, farmers undergo considerable research in what systems and operations will best meet their own facility’s needs. Perhaps the biggest challenge on a farm is manure management and handling.
Waste management and handling systems enable farmers to utilize their energy, time, and waste in an efficient manner. A waste management system may include a collection system, a transfer system, a treatment system, a storage system, and crop fields for utilization. A system may have all of these or select components depending on the farms goals and type of waste.
REA provides years of knowledge and experience in implementing the latest NRCS standards in this specific aspect of farm management. REA has designed collection and transfer systems ranging from scraping systems to flushing systems and variations in between. We assist producers in selecting mechanical separators, digesters and have designed sand separating lanes. We have designed earthen, poly-lined, and concrete storages including vertical, round, and sloped walled storages. REA will provide options for the farm to efficiently move waste among the components of a waste management system based on the farm’s goals and limitations.
REA is a leader in the applied technology and application of manure management practices on large and small farm operations.
